This qualification is intended for those who wish to contribute to M膩ori organisations and other organisations where iwi and hap奴 development is paramount; providing specialist knowledge in M膩ori Laws and Philosphy to guide strategic planning and collaborative decision making which is informed by kaupapa and tikanga.

The purpose of the programme is to provide wh膩nau, hap奴, iwi and associated organisations with graduates who are able to lead iwi and hap奴 development and actively model the expression of kaupapa and the application of associated tikanga M膩ori.

Graduates will be bilingual researchers who will be able to advise on policy and organisational operations at an advanced level in local and national affairs with the ability to provide in-depth research skills. They will be able to operate independently as practitioners of whakatupu m膩tauranga applying kaupapa and tikanga to guide hap奴 and iwi development.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be minimum age 17 years.Candidates must be able to satisfy the Director of Graduate studies that they have the background which is appropriate for the successful undertaking of graduate studies of the Post Graduate Diploma in M-眉ori

Te 奥腻苍补苍驳补 o Raukawa is a tikanga M膩ori tertiary education provider with its main campus based in 艑taki, Aotearoa, New Zealand. Hailed at the time as the 'smallest university in the world' Te 奥腻苍补苍驳补 o Raukawa was established by the Raukawa Marae Trustees in 1981 with only two students. 

 A special and unique place of learning, Te 奥腻苍补苍驳补 o Raukawa has become recognised over the last 30 years as an opportunity for all to learn within a tikanga M膩ori community under the principles of the iwi development strategy, Whakatupuranga Rua Mano: Generation 2000.

Whakatupuranga Rua Mano captured the health and wellbeing aspirations of the ART Confederation of Ng膩ti Toa Rangatira, Te Ati Awa ki Whakarongotai and Ng膩ti Raukawa ki te tonga in the lower North Island of Aotearoa.聽These are the founding iwi of Te 奥腻苍补苍驳补 o Raukawa.
